FAQ
1. Board Choice & Specifications
How do I choose the right volume for my DHD board?
The volume depends on your weight, physical condition, technical level and the targeted wave conditions:
- Intermediate surfer: Weight x 0.38 to 0.42 (e.g.: 75 kg = ~29–31 Litres).
- Advanced / Pro surfer: Weight x 0.34 to 0.37 (e.g.: 75 kg = ~26–28 Litres).
Consult our size chart or contact our team by telephone for personalised advice.
What is the difference between PU and EPS Epoxy construction?
- PU (Polyurethane / Polyester Resin): Traditional construction. Excellent chop absorption, natural inertia and progressive flex, ideal in hollow and consistent waves.
- EPS Epoxy: Lightweight polystyrene foam blank with epoxy resin. 15 to 20% lighter, more buoyancy, explosive acceleration in small and medium-sized waves.
FCS II vs Futures Fins boxes: which should I choose?
All DHD boards are available with either FCS II fin boxes (screwless clip-in system) or Futures Fins boxes (single-piece front-screw system). Choose according to the fin set you already own.
2. Board Shipping & Delivery
How is my board packaged and protected for transport?
Each board is given armoured packaging: high-density foam nose and tail protection, thick bubble wrap and reinforced double-wall cardboard for heavy transport.
What should I do if the parcel arrives damaged?
Always inspect the board in the presence of the driver. If damage is visible, note precise reservations on the delivery driver's note and notify us within 48 hours at contact@dhdsurf.eu.
